Talks on nervous system flexibility in an overwhelming world.
Drawn from my own life and a decade of coaching. Honest, grounded in how nervous systems work, and practical enough that people use them the next morning. For leadership offsites, founder communities and company events.
Available as a 30 to 45-minute keynote or a 90-minute to half-day workshop, in person or online.
A place you visit, not somewhere you live
What it's about
We live in a world built to keep us on alert, and so many capable people are stuck in survival mode without realising it. This talk explains why, and why the goal isn't to stay calm but to become flexible: able to go into survival mode when life demands it, and come back out.
What people leave with
A simple way to notice their state, come back to themselves, and do one thing differently in the moment that matters, with tools for both when they feel on edge and when they feel shut down.
Different, not difficult
What it's about
Co-parenting with someone who experiences the world very differently from me was one of the most challenging relationships I've navigated. For years we were stuck in the same patterns, until I turned my attention to my own triggers and behaviours instead of theirs. This talk takes what I learned into work: co-founders, partnerships, leaders and their teams. Why difference so often feels like threat, how our nervous systems set each other off, and how curiosity changes that.
What people leave with
A way to spot their own triggers and patterns, recognise when someone else is feeling unsafe, and respond with curiosity and compassion instead of judgement. And a simple choice for any strained working relationship: a bridge, a boundary, or both.

“Esther is an incredible teacher.”
“Her ability to put people at ease, work through challenging situations and build synchronicity among leadership teams is really quite remarkable. And she does it all in such a delightfully Esther Raphael way.”
